Meet the horticulturist at Dawyck @ Dawyck Botanic Garden
Apr 28 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Horticulturist Thomas Gifford, a member of the small team that takes care of the world-famous plant collection at Dawyck Botanic Garden, Stobo near Peebles, will be on hand to meet visitors and talk about his work and love of plants at a special pop-up event on Sunday, 28 April.

Thomas, a skilled arboriculturist, can often be seen tending to the Garden’s world-famous collection which includes some of Britain’s oldest and tallest trees.

The Garden Supervisor explained: “Often our visitors are interested in the tasks we are undertaking. They will stop and ask us questions about our work, what we are doing and why we are doing it. They are also keen to know about the equipment we are using.

“I want to give people the chance to drop into the Pop Up Event so they can speak to me about my day-to-day work and just what is involved in looking after a 65 acre woodland Garden. ‘’

The pop up session will run from 11am to 3pm and is free with normal Garden admission.
